In classic spring weather, this April elopement turned from a spring sunny day into a snowy blizzard. The snow wasn’t expected but we made the best of it and still had a beautiful elopement!
Rocky Mountain National Park is such a great area to elope. Having the perfect mountain vibes, there are so many lakes and lookouts that are right off the side of the road and are the perfect backdrop to your wedding photos.
We started the day with an intimate ceremony outside the park in Estes Park. Their ceremony was special and had unique touches such as a element ring: all of their guests gathered an ‘element from the area’ as they walked up to the ceremony site. Everyone gathered pine cones, leaves, rocks. twigs etc and made a circle around the couple before their ceremony. It was a great way to include your guests in a short elopement ceremony and a great photo!
After the ceremony, we went into the park for some photos. We stopped at 3M curve and Sparague lake. Both places were stunning and very cold haha. As the snow fell, they said their private vows and kept each other warm. It was a beautiful day start to finish.
